OTIS used to be John Kahn's dog until John was just on the road too much to take care of properly, so about the time we started the studio project in 1973, OTIS was part of the scene.
He was a most amazing animal. The reason he's in the PEOPLE section is that this was an old soul in a dog's body. He always seemed to know what was going on and he was quite affectionate. He was a pal and he was so big you could put your arm around him - he dug the hugs but he was still a macho dog - and would have nothing to do with Robbie Taylor's dog - they would fight.
